I think that our market loves VAULT, it's been two years this month since we first got VAULT as a test market and we have done nothing but promote it from day one.

* We have every single new and old VAULT billboard including VAULT Red Blitz billboards on every corner.
* We have promotional pricing 69 cents - 99 cents, year round. It has never gone above 99 cents, period.
* We have recieved promotional cans, bottles, etc. over the last two years. We don't carry 1 litter bottles but every 3 months we have VAULT in 1L bottles in a promotion that we get from CCE and we also had 16oz cans two falls ago.

Also, it seems that Columbus loves VAULT Red Blitz.. We went from this..

to this is less than 48 hours at a local Wal-Mart, and as of today all the VAULT is gone, 4 days total..

Also, a IGA in Cataula, GA is now carrying it for 99 cents as well..

Also also, here is the 1L that we just starting putting out today:

It's now official I don't like Vault. I tried both flavors on a whim. Yech! The only good citrus drink from Coke is Mello Yello and that isn't great. I'm coming home to ya Mountain Dew, I'm sorry that I strayed.

Eh, if ya like it ya like it.

I miss Vault in the vending machine at school. The company who fills up the soda machines dumped Coca-Cola 20 oz products for Cadbury-Schweppes crap.

I am a fan of both Mountain Dew and Mello Yello. Not so much Vault. If only all three were available here, however...

I don't see a whole lot of Vault here in NJ anymore. Rarely see six packs, some 12 packs, not usually displayed like it is there in Columbus.

But, I can see why people like Vault, it is not bad, everyone has their own opinion.

However, anyone who actually likes Fanta orange soda... umm, we need to have a talk.

We really do push it here in BHam as well. It hasnt went above 99 cents on the 20 oz, and you will see alot of 2 for a $1 also. It's a core brand now, and it's here to stay, I do believe. Its a reqiuired flavor on all your displays. The Pepsi man says its the butt of all jokes at meetings( I guess sorta like Sierra Mist is around our place), but at least half my stops I order 2 to 5 20 oz, 2-4 Red, and 1 Vault Zero a week, and thats cases that was not there 4years ago(I thinks it has been that many years. We were the first to come out with it.) It's a sucess, or at least here it is.

Coke has been through this before, with Surge, it knows what it is doing and it is comitting completely to the brand. I have NEVER in all my life at CCBCC seen the promotion and discounts on a brand like this.

I mean, if it isn't a core brand in your area they want it to be. Also, I forgot to add we have a guy that he job is to drive around Columbus in a VAULT van and give out VAULT. If that's not comittment, I don't know what is.

They did the same thing with Citra in my parts back in 1998.

So, talked to my friend in Gainsville,GA (CCE) and asked if they were getting as much VAULT and VAULT Red Blitz cans as us. He said they got them one time only for Wal-Mart for like 1 week.

Found out the put them in the Pig again this week:

Maybe it was different in your area vs mine. Hard to say.

- Before even working for Coke, my high school had a few vending machine dedicated to Surge. Cans were 25 cents.

- Surge was made a core brand and was manditory on all displays (2nd position: Coke, Surge, Diet, CF Diet, Sprite)

- I don't remember exact prices (since this was 10 years of drinking alcohol ago), but there were promotional prices for it.

However, maybe they learned some things with Surge that'll allow Vault to stick.
